Craig County criminal records are divided among the Sheriff's Office, two court clerks, the Virginia Department of State Police, the Virginia Department of Corrections, and the Virginia Sex Offender and Crimes Against Minors Registry. We organize those official routes so a reader can identify the right custodian, portal, address, or phone number without treating unlike records as one product.

Why We Built This Site

Virginia does not place every criminal record in one public database. In Craig County, the Sheriff's Office keeps its incident and arrest material, while the General District and Circuit Court clerks maintain charges, docket events, outcomes, and orders. The Virginia Department of State Police operates the Central Criminal Records Exchange and the official SP-167 request path. Custody and supervision records may instead belong to the Virginia Department of Corrections, Virginia VINE, or a holding facility identified by the sheriff. The registry is another distinct state system. We bring together verified contacts, request methods, and official search routes while keeping those boundaries clear.
